About the Role

Are you a strategic financial leader with a sharp eye for cost control and a passion for driving transformation?

We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to lead the full-cycle financial and accounting functions of a factory. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of budget management, tax compliance, and financial risk management while embedding robust cost controls across all business processes. If you thrive under pressure and love optimizing systems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage the General Ledger (GL), cost accounting, and monthly closing processes to guarantee 100% data accuracy.
  • System & Compliance: Establish, optimize, and maintain financial systems and internal controls in strict alignment with both Group and New Zealand legal standards.
  • Tax & Treasury: Ensure full compliance with New Zealand tax laws (IRD), meticulously manage cash flow, and oversee bank reconciliations.
  • Budget & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide insightful variance analysis to empower executive decision-making.
  • Cost Management: Partner closely with our production and sales teams to drive meaningful cost reduction and continuously optimize our cost control framework.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage and nurture relationships with external auditors (Deloitte), banking partners (including BOC, ICBC, Citi, HSBC), and local authorities.
  • Digitalization: Champion the implementation of financial IT tools (such as SAP or U9) to automate workflows and eliminate operational redundancies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5–7+ years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 2 years of local New Zealand experience.
  • Industry: Essential background in large-scale manufacturing (experience in FMCG, Food, or Dairy is highly preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: A proven specialist in Cost Modules with a strong track record in cost accounting and driving cost reduction initiatives.
  • Systems: Proficiency in Express, U9, or SAP. Direct experience leading system implementations is highly valued.
  • Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, paired with relevant professional accounting qualifications.

Language & Soft Skills

  • Language: Fluency in both Mandarin and English is desirable; however, local English speakers with no Mandarin skills are also highly encouraged to apply.
  • Soft Skills: A decisive mindset, excellent communication skills, high responsibility, and the proven ability to thrive and work effectively under pressure.
  • Digital Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying workflow redundancies and proposing systematic, technical, or digital solutions.
